Terms and Conditions of Subscription


Pricing

All subscription prices are in Australian dollars ($AUD) and include GST for Australian residents. Subscription payments must be received in Australian currency. We reserve the right to amend our subscription prices from time to time.

Refunds

A 40°South magazine subscription may be cancelled at any time in writing. If you choose to cancel a magazine subscription during its term, you will be refunded the outstanding portion relevant to the unfilled copies owing on the subscription. 

If an order is placed for copies of a back issue or book that is no longer available a full refund will be offered.

Shipping and Delivery

As the magazine is issued quarterly, please allow up to six to eight weeks for delivery of your first issue. If you do not receive your copy within the prescribed time frame please contact our customer service department on +61 3 6234 1003 or email subscriptions.

Shipping is by surface mail throughout Australia and sea mail overseas.

The delivery of overseas orders is reliant on overseas postal services and we cannot be responsible for items lost by overseas postal services.

We will commence your subscription with the issue current at the time your order is received and processed. If that issue is unavailable for any reason, we shall commence your subscription with the following issue.

Renewal of Subscription Via Email

We will only record your email address if you send us a message or provide permission via acceptance of the Terms of Subscription.  This information will only be used for the purpose of fulfilling orders and advising of goods and specifically offered by 40°South. 

Additional Terms that apply to Third Party & Gift Subscriptions

Please note that if you are the recipient of a third party or gift subscription, the following additional terms and conditions apply:

  • If you have received a gift subscription to 40°South from a third party your subscription may be altered or cancelled by 40°South or the third party.  You will be given the opportunity to renew or adjust your subscription as the case may be and such renewal or adjustment will be effective once you have given us your additional subscription and payment details

    Products and Other Services

    With respect to products and services offered for sale by 40°South, third parties or through the 40°South website: you shall be informed of all terms of the offer, including but not limited to pricing, methods of payment, shipping and handling, credit card information, sales tax, return and refund policies and applicable privacy policies.
